Korsette müssen aus einem Stoff hergestellt werden, der gar keine Elastizität aufweist. Der Stoff, der für die Korsettherstellung entworfen wurde, nennt man Coutil. Obwohl Coutil teuer ist, wird für ein Korsett nicht viel benötigt. Einige billigere Alternativen sind Leinen, Denim und Baumwoll-Inlett. For the outer fabric, you can use most non-stretch fabrics, such as linen, cotton, or silk.
